Crimping device tool for crimping a terminal onto the uncoated end portion of an electric wire so that the electric wire may not be ridged or folded when crimped. The terminal crimping device comprises an applicator (1) and a clamp device (2) for holding and moving an electric wire (E) upward and downward. The applicator (3) includes crimpers (13 and 15) and anvils (14 and 16) acting as crimping tools, a slide cutter (17) for cutting a connecting portion between a terminal and a band body, and a cut-off punch (18) for pushing down the slide cutter (17). At the terminal crimping time, the electric wire (E) is moved at first by the clamp device (50) downward to the height position (H2') of the upper face of the slide cutter. After this, the crimpers (13 and 15) are moved downward, while the electric wire (E) is being moved by the clamp device (50) downward to a crimping height position (H1), thereby to crimp the terminal onto the end portion of the electric wire, and the slide cutter (17) is moved downward to cut off the terminal from the band body. As a result, the electric wire (E) is crimped/cut while being substantially straight.
